Depart Toronto Pearson International Airport on your “direct flight” for Paris known as the City of Light.

Arrive in Paris mid-morning, transfer to the hotel by motor-coach where we will enjoy a luncheon. Followed by our official welcome prior to checking into the InterContinental – Le Grand Paris, offering historic charm in central Paris. This luxury hotel is right across the street from the world-famous Palais Garnier, home to the esteemed Paris Opera. This evening you are free to settle in and rest from your journey.

Day 3: October 30


Visit the village of Giverny, where Claude Monet and other artists lived and painted. Enjoy access to Monet’s 19th century home, then, tour the flower beds, Japanese bridge and water lily pond that served as inspiration for Monet’s paintings. Enjoy lunch in Giverny. Then return to the hotel with free time in the afternoon to explore the area, great shopping close by at Galleries Lafayette or perhaps just rest up for our evening. Tonight Dine on a cruise along the Seine including wine and beer.

Day 4: October 31


Half-day tour of Paris, including a tour of the Palais Garnier Opera House, and Saint Gervais where you’ll learn the wonderful story of the Couperin family dynasty, and enjoy a musical performance. Your afternoon free for you to explore. Dinner and show at the spectacular Moulin Rouge including wine.

Day 5: November 1


Morning motor-coach transfer to the ship where you will board the spectacular S.S. Joie de Vivre.

Day 6: November 2


Uniworld usually offers a visit to Giverny on this day but it will be closed on this particular day. An alternate program will be offered by Uniworld TBD.

Day 7: November 3


On your full-day outing, you’ll visit the Normandy beaches including the Juno Beach Centre and partake in a private ceremony at the Canadian cemetery.

Day 8: November 4


Drive through the beautiful Calvados countryside to Honfleur, a harbor in Normandy, it was popular with painters like Monet and Boudin. They found its changing light and picturesque quays inspiring – even today, if you return to the same spot every day to take a photo, you’ll find no two are the same.

Day 9: November 5


Walk in the footsteps of greatness in Normandy’s medieval capital, a city with a historic quarter that remains amazingly intact. From the cathedral Monet painted dozens of times to the cross marking the spot where Joan of Arc was martyred, Rouen is a treasure trove for the culturally curious.

Day 10: November 6


Choice of Versailles Palace secret apartments or Versailles Gardens and Queen’s Hamlet.

Day 11: November 7


Choice of Paris city tour, “Do as the Locals Do” or “Let’s Go” Seine riverbanks bike ride.

Day 12: November 8


Group departure transfer to Charles de Gaulle Airport for your direct flight home.
